ABCyeasts - yeasts for biocontrol of pathogens in viticulture
FINISHED
ABC Yeasts - A portfolio of yeast antagonists for BioControl of Phytopathogenic Agents in Sustainable Viticulture is a project to be implemented between 1/06/2019 and 30/05/2022. The promoter is Proenol - Indústria Biotecnológica SA and the Co-Promotors are UTAD and ADVID - Associação para o Desenvolvimento da Viticultura Duriense. Sogrape participates as a stakeholder by making its vineyards available for the trials to be implemented.
ABC Yeasts has the objective to research and develop innovative yeast-based products with antagonistic action against phytopathogenic agents present in the vineyard, biotrophic and non-biotrophic fungi, as well as microorganisms that contaminate post-harvest grapes. These products represent biological solutions, which ideally could replace, or at least allow, a reduction in the use of chemical microbiological control products in the wine industry.
Research and technological development (RTD) project in co-promotion no. 39793 - Application to Notice 31/SI/2017 under the Regional OP Norte and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
